Lucky is incredibly passionate and kind-hearted, always willing to give back and help others. In between training, university and whenever time permits, Lucky is a strong member of the community. Aspirations for kids in sport (a4k)
Lucky is proud to represent an amazing charity chaired by Aussie cricket legend Ian Healy. Aspirations4Kids in Sport assists kids facing unique challenges associated with hardships, disabilities and chronic illness to play sport and enjoy the great benefits that school sport participation brings. As a previous recipient of an A4K grant, Lucky knows how much it helps kids in need and is extremely grateful for the foundations ongoing support.
qas4schools program
During 2017-2018 Lucky was an athlete ambassador for the QAS4Schools program, delivering presentations to inspire, motivate and educate primary school kids throughout Queensland. The program is an exciting initiative passionate about encouraging students to voluntarily pursue a healthy lifestyle and peak their interest towards the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
zonta international
Zonta International is a leading global organization empowering women worldwide through service and advocacy. Zonta's Caboolture District kindly supported Lucky in the lead up to the 2016 Rio Paralympic Games. With Zonta, Lucky is at times a speaker and shares her story while advocating for many other women that have gone through various challenges in life. Zonta also campaign against domestic violence, which Lucky also advocates due to family's past experience.
Soroptimist International
As former Soroptimist International Young Women of the Year (2015), for the Moreton North Region, Lucky is proud to be a speaker for the organisation - representing an organisation committed to a world where women and girls together achieve their individual and collective potential, realise aspirations and have an equal voice in creating strong, peaceful communities worldwide.
Queensland Rugby League
Lucky was fortunate enough to speak at a Women's coaching seminar for Queensland Rugby League, inspiring other Women with her story. She was also part of the inaugural 2017 Queensland Maroon Festival to celebrate Rugby League and the very best of Queensland. Lucky was part of the UNSTOPPABLE panel discussion with Wheelchair Rugby Paralympic Gold Medalist Cameron Carr and 2014 Australian of the Year Finalist and Paralympic Football coach Jay Larkin.
Sporting Wheelies & Disabled Assoc.
Sporting Wheelies and Disabled Association is a not-for-profit organisation that helps Queenslander's with a disability lead active, healthy lives and achieve their sporting dreams since 1977. Lucky is a proud member of the organisation, and their undying support has ensured she is continuially able to achieve all her dreams and goals.
